Learn by doing.

Science of Falling Labs are free interactive experiences designed to make balance, falling, and fall preparedness easier to understand.

Test yourself. Make decisions. Investigate falls. Learn something useful along the way.

Lab 01: Fall Reaction Lab

What would you do if a fall happened right now?

Work through realistic fall scenarios and make decisions before, during, and after a fall. Explore how different choices can change what happens next and build your fall literacy along the way.

Lab 02: Balance Assessment Lab

Explore how your balance uses different sensory systems.

Take a guided modified Clinical Test of Sensory Interaction in Balance (mCTSIB) and see how vision, surface conditions, and sensory information influence your ability to stay steady.

Tip: For best self-assessment while alone (as long as you are safe to do so) use your phone for this lab. Feel free to use computer if a partner is available.

Lab 03: Fall Detective

Can you figure out what caused the fall?

Investigate interactive fall scenes, collect evidence, compare possible explanations, and reconstruct what most likely happened.

Tip: Best used with a group from a computer or large screen to spark discussion.
